i don’t know why i waited so long to make the moving post. i guess iwasn’t 100% ready to break up with this blog. i launched my new website and now i am blogging over here. would love to have you stop by, and be sure to say hi. XO

my older sister and i recently made the decision to move our studio space together. her space is much larger and more versatile. mine was tiny, tiny and i out grew it very fast. what i am most excited about is collaborating or just working in the same space as her. she has been a huge inspiration for me growing up and she always seems to have the answer for creative solutions—and hey she is pretty handy!
things are moving quickly and will be all set up in our space very shortly. our biggest challenge is getting out chandler & price pilot old style press moved and working.
we are sharing our space in a studio tour next week for an event put together by the connecticut art director’s club. looking forward to sharing our work in progress.

super late on my follow up from alt summit nyc but I couldn’t go without posting some of my fave highlights from the day.
by far my favorite part of the day was the keynote by tina roth eisenberg from swissmiss. i have been following and admiring her blog for years. she is more awesome than you can even imagine her being. her 8 steps for a creative life were duly noted. sarah from notetoself put together an awesome infographic with all the steps.
she gave me a tattly (one of her many side projects) and it conveniently said yay! which was exactly what i was feeling…yessss! (my hair is definitly having a moment in this pic, probably should not have napped on the train ride into the city.)
lunch was sponsored by land of nod, who shared a sneak peek at the holiday goods.
whattttt? martha decided to pop in and say hi. love her!
after all the awesome panels we walked through the martha stewart headquarters which led us to the rooftop party. it was gorg!
oh and i won a microsoft arc keyboard and arc mouse (designed by oh joy) thanks bing!!!!

So excited for this day! ALT NYC is here I remember so badly how I wanted to go to the SLC event in January and I am so glad that I jumped at these tickets this time. Looking forward to a day hearing from this awesome lineup of creative people at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
So I will be in NYC for the next 2 days getting motivated, inspired, meeting new friends and seeing old friends. Couldn’t ask for a better end to the week.

I have taken a complete rest from blogging. The rest was not planned it just happened. I have been really focused on my work and design projects. I am working hard on my new website to share all my work with you, pattimurphydesigns.com is coming soon!!! Thanks so much for the shout outs and emails checking in on me! Makes me excited and anxious to share what I have been up to : )

sorry for my absence lately! busy busy and everything seems to be moving non-stop. i was part of a bridal show this past weekend at the Hilton in Mystic as a wedding stationery vendor. excited to start working on invites for some new couples. the process is so fun, but i especially love the beginning getting to know the couple and learning the flavor and essence of their dream wedding.
i was torn about the best way to show all my work in a little tiny space besides an album which I did for my first show. i wanted to do something that would draw people in and i always had this vision of displaying everything on a birdcage. the daisy fabric gave it a backyard/garden look. I also had a white mailbox but couldn’t fit it on the table : ( next time. captured a few pics on instagram.
so excited about my new letterpress business cards with zebra print backside.

i can not believe i went 10 days since my last post!!! i feel like i have committed a sin. wish i could say i was on vacation but i am just enjoying the madness for now and will be back with posts on wednesday : )

thought this week i would share my current workspace in my home studio apartment and my typical work outfit {skinny jeans, tee with flats}. this desk is where i spend most of my time working and creating. i am outgrowing the space a bit and i am packing up some things and moving into my new studio space in the next few weeks. just a few coats of floor paint and its moving time : ) but i will always remember my first “official” personal workspace.

i love to fill an inspiration board up with things i collect and find. always fun to rearrange & layer.
i change like to switch up my computer wallpaper often. frankie magazine has some good ones.

it was a busy one but enjoyable. saw some beautiful days and enjoyed a lot of time with family <3 captured a bit on instagram.
ROW 1
• made it to a few of my nephew’s tournament hockey games in MA. this was a winning celebration pic. it was also my birthday : )
• participated in my first bridal show. this is one of my invitation collections. can’t wait to get my website up to share all the collections and work i have been doing.
• these are some finished save the dates for a late july wedding.

• the usual bloody marys and brunches.
• Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
• we had a corned beef and cabbage dinner at my sister’s house and it was delish. my nephew logan and niece greta got to get together and mingle. they are too cute!

• bridal shower season begins…i’m ok with that as long as cake is involved. nom nom <3
• this creepy leprechaun was a gift for my bday from my boyfriend’s mom. i love it!
• my nephew logan turned 2 years old on the 20th. we celebrated with some monkey cupcakes.

• lovely birthday card from a good friend.
• finished up some magnet save the dates for a september wedding couple. LOVE every chance i get to be a little playful. photograph by the talented michelle gardella.
• spring came and it is amazing!

it has been one thing after another after another and i haven’t really taken any breaks and i am feeling some much needed leisure coming my way. my apartment went from clean to a complete disaster in one week. doesn’t take much when your workspace is your living and kitchen space. hoping my new little studio will help with that. yes—new studio space for me. yay! part of the reason why i have been so busy, getting it cleaned up and such. can’t wait to use and share all the beautiful things i have planned for it! for now i will live and work in chaos and maybe make some time for a leisure activity.
